Good cup of coffee!

Coffee Cayenne

There is a time and place for everything. And coffee it seems is finding its place on every street corner. Starbucks has made coffee a ritual, a private affair, and to some, an addiction.
Over the years I have made it my quest to find not the perfect cup of coffee, but the cheapest with great flavor. I have tried many brands and techniques. But I always felt something was missing. Sometimes the less things added make a better tasting brew. Follow the follow instructions for a very bold, smooth cup of joe. A step above the diner brew or truck stop blend.
Items needed:
French Press coffee press
Coffee bean grinder
Coffee mug
Pan to boil water
Bag of original 8 o'clock coffee beans
McCormick Ground (Cayenne) Red Pepper
Heat 1.5 cups water between 190 to 200 degrees F (do not boil). Grind 2 tablespoons beans and add to coffee press. Add two shakes of cayenne pepper on top of the coffee grinds. Pour the heated water into the press and stir. Fill coffee mug with cold water and heat in microwave 2 mins.
When the 2 mins are up, press the french press. Empty out the hot water from the microwave and pour the fresh brew into the warmed up coffee mug. Enjoy. Drink it black. The cayenne pepper brings out the coffee flavor. Along with sweat on your brow and lead in your pencil!
